"DATE: 08-24-07 Appearance: Pale lemon.
Nose: Apple/pear with hints of butter and vanilla, and a citrus component.
Palate: Dry with fresh acidity, midweight. Fruit-driven palate adds light peachiness with some creamy soft mouthfeel midpalate, and a long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Excellent choice for lighter foods (no spice or heat please) or aperitif use, this could go four or five years in a good cellar, putting on a bit of weight and gaining complexity. Very fresh wine with good acidity, will cut through heavy foods well, refreshing the palate between bites somewhat in the manner of a dry riesling, but with more weight to stand up to heavier fare." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"The paler color with just a tiny tint of green is typical of a cooler climate, partially oaked Chardonnay as is the fruit driven nose and the delicate crisp flavor.

Light lemon and lime fruitiness is complemented by just a wee hint of "butteryness" on the nose. Very characteristic of this style of Chardonnay, it offers a welcome change from the many heavier, oak aged Chards that are better suited to heavier meals and cooler weather. This wine shows a smooth, creamy texture in the mouth, a fresh delicate fruitiness that echoes the citrus of the nose and adds some sweet, ripe pear flavors. A satisfying wine for all tastes, this fresh example of the World's favorite white grape will pair up with many dishes including white fish, chicken, veal, white pasta sauces, mussels, creamy cheeses and will do splendidly just on its own too.

Perfect summer drinking in 2007 and 2008."
