"DATE: 03-23-07 Appearance: Ruby.
Nose: Deep sweet cherry, plum and sweet oak with some spiciness in the background.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, heavyweight. Big mouthfeel, big fruit, substantial alcohol and extract all are in balance, if not yet together. Midpalate is big and soft, finish is long and clean.
Conclusions: Great future for this merlot. Ontario merlot can be our best wines when they are well done, as this one is. Good until 2012 if not longer." lfw
