"DATE: 03-31-07 Retasted 01-01-08 still on course. Appearance: Ruby with light brick at the rim.
Nose: Raspberry, sweet cherry, cassis and red pepper, sweet oak.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Palate follows the nose nicely, with some roundness midpalate, riper fruit showing enroute to a long clean finish.
Conclusions: Southwestern Cab Francs are establishing a tradition of food-friendly wines of good substance that are quite capable of aging for at least five years. This wine fits nicely into this highly useful pattern." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Our Winemaker's choice. Herbaceous aromas reveal notes of anise and bell pepper on the palate. The lingering finish has unique characteristics of pomegranate. Pair with grilled vegetables or a sumptuous roast beef dinner."
