Strawberry Rhubarb

wine chemistry at work Tech Information: 06-02-07 $ 12.95 (S: 2 A: 13) Winery

"DATE: 06-02-07 Appearance: Pale orange.
Nose: Light strawberry/rhubarb pie aromatics, with some floral/spicy undertones.
Palate: Just off-dry with moderate acidity, midweight. Wine starts with the soft strawberry fruit, a spicy character takes over midpalate, and the rhubarb flavours show up on the clean dryish finish.
Conclusions: Interesting wine is less sweet and less intense than many will look for, but is all the more drinkable for that reason. Would be a dangerous bottle slightly chilled on a hot summer day, evaporating right out of the glass..." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"A pleasant blend of our Strawberry Fields and Rhubarb wines. These refreshing two fruit flavours echo an age old combination that generations have come to love in a pie!"
