"DATE: 08-13-08 Appearance: Old gold.
Nose: Pineapple, peach, apricot, orange blossom, lychee, buckwheat honey, mature, inviting, complex.
Palate: Sweet with great acidity, heavyweight. Palate follows the nose, with more complexity than most wines ever get. Great richness and mouthfeel on the midpalate, fantastic long clean sweet finish is also quite flavourful and complex.
Conclusions: The old warrior (I've tasted this periodically for many years) just keeps on getting better and better and better. Great value for the serious collector. One of the last windows on a wonderful vintage. Great Dessert wine to match with any of them from anywhere. Probably good for another 9 years!" lfw
