Nose: This is becoming one of those 'Stinky old reds' that I love so well. Rich deep aromas of chocolate, leather, cedar, mature dark fruit and spicy oak.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Palate is younger and fresher seeming than the nose, but the flavours follow it properly. Nice silky mouthfeel, richness and ripe tannins midpalate. Very long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Very nice maturing Bordeaux style will last another eight years plus. Put this one into a tasting with classed growth Bordeaux of the same age." lfw
