"DATE: 08-19-07 Appearance: Deep cherry red with brown at the edge.
Nose: Mature nose of dark cherry, strawberry, something earthy.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Big gamay has mature flavours, soft midpalate, pinot-ish in a way, complex. Long clean finish.
Conclusions: Fully mature wine is not for keeping, but is ready now (drink by summer 2008). Big wine for well-done beef roasts or those of us with a taste for mature wines." lfw
