"DATE: 08-12-08 Appearance: Straw.
Nose: Buttery baked apple/pear nose with spicy overtones.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, mid to heavyweight. Palate adds more tropical fruit to the nose, with richness and fat on the midpalate. Nice clean astringency on the long dry finish.
Conclusions: Worthy successor to the 2004 (perhaps a bit "smaller", good for five or six years longer. Probably best with flavourful white meat, fish or fowl dishes, should develop very interesting character in another couple of years (almost there now)." lfw
