LARDY'S WINETASTING NOTES Medium Fruit Wine

2006 Cranberry Blueberry
Tech Information:
06-22-08 $ 16.75 (S: off dry A: 10) Winery

"DATE: 06-22-08 Appearance: cranberry with ruby tints.
Nose: Both cranberry and blueberry show nicely on the nose. There is also a spicy character.
Palate: Medium with good acidity, midweight. Big fruit on the attack, blueberry does lead the way, with a transition from sweet to sour happening at the end of the midpalate, and a gentle dose of typical cranberry bitterness on the finish.
Conclusions: Nice wine for drinking chilled on the patio, but it would work with moderately hot or spicy veggie dishes, or may sit well with a traditional turkey dinner." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Muskoka Lakes Winery’s Cranberry Blueberry Wine is a rich, garnet colour with purple tints. The nose suggests warm blueberry pie with a hint of mint. It’s full, blueberry sweetness forward is balanced by the acidic finish typical of cranberry. A well-balanced blend that can be drunk now or cellared for 1-2 years. The light fruitiness stands well alone or pairs well with chicken and sweet and sour dishes."
