"DATE: 04-17-07 Appearance: Deep ruby / purple.
Nose: Sweet black cherry, red peppers, plum, cassis, sweet oak, some spice and a bit of chocolate.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Flavours on the palate follow the nose, if slightly less developed.Nice ripe tannins, rich balance of fruit/extract/alcohol, modern in style, very long clean silky finish.
Conclusions: Big cab franc is somewhat precocious, yet there is enough substance to suggest long ageability (up to ten years). Very nicely done, from the master of Cab Franc, monsieur James Warren, and his squad of elves-in-training. This wine would be something of a chameleon at the table, fitting into many situations." lfw
