Nose: Cassis, cedar/pencil lead, raspberry, blackberry, sweet oak and a mineral quality.
Palate: Dry with moderate acidity, heavyweight. Great dark fruit on the attack (add cassis to the nose!) added to ripe tannins and everything promised on the nose. Great mouthfeel, good complexity for a youngling red. Very long clean finish.
Conclusions: Great blend with a great future. This should go more than ten years, but is already tasty if not yet integrated. Try now with fine cuts of meat, rare to medium rare, or age and enjoy a truly great wine somewhere after 2010." lfw
