"DATE: 08-18-07 Appearance: Deep ruby / purple.
Nose: Black fruits with spicy and herbal notes.
Palate: Dry with fresh acidity, midweight. Deep dark berries, plum, cran/blueberry notes on the attack, with light tannins and a silkiness midpalate. Good clean finish.
Conclusions: Ageworthy Foch in the older style, none of the modern "Sweetness" about it. Could go eight years in a good cellar, may be too fresh or intense for some at this point. A good wine to serve to flavour junkies, or with flavourful foods." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Marechal Foch is a Medium Bodied red wine. It is purple with blue-black hints. Marechal Foch has an herbal, spicy, intense dark fruit aroma. Dry with fresh acidity, light tannins, moderate alcohol. An unusual wine for those who like old-style Foch."
