LARDY'S WINETASTING NOTES Dry Fruit Wine

Divine Gooseberry
Tech Information:

"DATE: 08-21-07 Appearance: Straw with green tints.
Nose: Gooseberry of course, but also hay, spices, herbs, sauvignon-blanc-ish aromas.
Palate: Dry with moderate acidity, midweight. Palate nicely follows the nose, adding the earthy element which I normally associate with gooseberries. Good long finish.
Conclusions: Not for long keeping, but would work now with many lightly spicy foods." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Deep almond with just a hint of copper in the colour with aromas of crushed leaves, apple, mineral, and gooseberry. A crisp, gooseberry tartness and very dry. Medium body with good length, showing a nice lingering interplay between the fruit and tart acidity. Very unlike a grape wine, but would work well with curry, lamb, or sushi."
