"DATE: 02-11-08 Appearance: Ruby.
Nose: Chocolate, raspberry, and an intense spicy character, more pronounced than the earlier vintages.
Palate: Medium sweet with good acidity, midweight plus. Clean fresh raspberry, then chocolate, then raspberry, then chocolate, quite a show. Richness shows up midpalate and lasts through a very long clean finish, with a very attractive chocolate aftertaste.
Conclusions: Not quite a liquid chocolate bar, but a very high-quality dessert wine, not as intense as icewine perhaps, but an interesting show, and something unique. Should age three or four years, but tastes very good right now. Something to make you a hero at that big family dinner (to hell with the $75 French wine, this will empty first...)." lfw
