"DATE: 08-17-07 Appearance: Orange/cranberry as expected.
Nose: Strawberry dominates the nose with hints of cranberry.
Palate: Semi-sweet with good acidity, midweight plus. Sweet on the attack, with the strawberry flavours again dominant, but the cranberry tannins and bitterness/acidity show up midpalate to take over the show, leading to a long clean dryish finish with a hint of that absolute correct cranberry bitterness.
Conclusions: Very nice blend of fruits for social or dessert-ish consumption. This could age for more than five years, gaining weight and complexity enroute." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"A thick and delicious dessert style wine made from strawberries blended with cranberries. Similar to the Scarlet O'Hara, it has the wonderful fresh strawberry jam nose. Full bodied strawberry sweetness meets you as you begin to enjoy this wine and just like that it drops to a drier finish that most do not expect from the cranberry. Amazing with fresh strawberries, or fruit salad, it also goes really well over French Vanilla ice cream. Great length."
