"DATE: 07-16-08 Appearance: Ruby with mahogany.
Nose: Rich plum, cherry, light cassis and spicy oak with a pleasant earthy quality.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Palate follows the nose, adding a lemony character midpalate to go with the dusty tannins. Some silkiness develops on the very long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Nice cab merlot is halfway to maturity, with another four years in front of it. Almost settled down now, good in two years for a stand-alone wine, best now with medium or medium-rare red meats. Nicely done, very good value." lfw
