wine chemistry at work Tech Information: 06-16-09 $ 12.95 {Pre-Release Price} (S: 0 A: 12.9) Winery

"DATE: 06-16-09 Appearance: Medium ruby with a touch of brick at the rim (dark colour for a light year pinot).
Nose: Cherry, plum and raspberry with light spicy oak.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight. Palate exceeds the nose somewhat. Blackberries and cherry on the attack, with a somewhat austere midpalate still dominated by black pepper and dusty tannins. Finish is very good long dry and clean with nice mineral touches on the aftertaste.
Conclusions: Good for another four or five years and needs another two to get everything fully together. Well balanced wine with a lot of extract for 2006, very foodworthy, best now with rare meats and flavourful foods, try it alone in 2012 for a real treat." lfw
