Nose: Sweet and spicy oak, apple, mineral, light butterscotch/caramel notes.
Palate: Dry with good acidity, midweight plus. Palate nicely follows the nose, with a rich attack showing baked apple, bready notes on the somewhat soft midpalate. Very good long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: Mid-range style of chardonnay, neither heavily oaked or unoaked, in fact it has a very nice balance of acid/fruit/alcohol/extract. The balance will make it fit most foods. At the $10.95 pre-release price it is a real bargain, capable of five or six years." lfw
