"DATE: 08-21-07 Appearance: Deep ruby / purple.
Nose: Big cassis nose with herbal/spicy/floral notes.
Palate: Medium with good acidity, midweight plus. Big cassis flavours, with many other spicy notes dancing across the palate. Light tannins and an attractive bitterness show midpalate and last through the long clean dry finish.
Conclusions: This would last many years in a good cellar, turning into a stand-alone wine. I'd like it with a rack of lamb, especially with spicy and sweet veggies on the plate." lfw

FROM THE PRODUCERS:"An exciting dry red wine made from 100% Ontario black currants. Intense black currant aroma with hints of jasmine, sweet woodruff and lush woodlands. The initial perception of sweet accelerates into a refreshingly acidic finish characteristic of black currants.

Serve with stir fry, roast beef, turkey, lamb, game meats, grilled vegetables, and a variety of cheeses.

Serve slightly chilled."
