LARDY'S WINETASTING NOTES Dry Fruit Wine

Bosc Pear
Tech Information: 08-15-07 $ 17.10 (S: Medium Dry A: 11.5) Winery

"DATE: 08-22-07 Appearance: Pale lemon.
Nose: Pear, honey and light spices.
Palate: Medium with moderate to good acidity, light to midweight. Clean pear flavours on the attack, with a green apple character as well midpalate. Very light tannins lend an attractive counterbalance, with a long clean finish.
Conclusions: Not for long keeping (drink by the end of 2009) but firing on all cylinders right now. This would work well with white meat and fish dishes, or spicy veggie fare. Nicely done." lfw
FROM THE PRODUCERS:"Medium dry wine made from 100% Niagara Bosc pears. Fresh pear aroma with litchi and honey overtones, full pear flavour. Medium body with balanced acidity. A long, pleasing finish. Serve, slightly chilled, with ham, stir fry, chicken, or cream pastas, Swiss, Cheddar, Gruyere, or Farmer's cheese."
